How to Report a Courier Delivery Problem

If a delivery is delayed, damaged or short of items, clear records help the courier investigate. Report the issue promptly and keep booking information, item counts and handover evidence together.

Identify the Booking and Issue

Give the BHA job reference, addresses, date and contact details. Explain whether the query concerns timing, visible damage, a missing item or the agreed service.

Describe what should have happened and what you observed. Distinguish facts from matters still needing investigation.

Keep Relevant Evidence

Retain the quote, booking instructions, manifest and proof of delivery. Record visible damage and package counts at handover, take relevant photographs and retain packaging where it helps explain the problem.

A manifest describes expected goods; it does not by itself prove every item was delivered.

Contact the Booking Team

For an urgent live delivery issue, call 0330 390 4244. For a written record, use our enquiry form or email info@bhacourier.co.uk. Include the reference and available evidence.

Explain the response needed, such as an ETA update, recipient confirmation or investigation of a shortage.

Check the Applicable Arrangements

The investigation depends on the agreed service, booking terms, goods and applicable cover. Ask about reporting requirements and the claims process before booking, especially for fragile or high-value goods.

A service name or insurance reference does not promise automatic compensation or a refund. Keep replies and agreed next steps together, and see our FAQs.
