Sending and Collecting Equipment for Remote Workers
Equipment deliveries to home workers need clear load, access and handover arrangements. A residential address does not establish who is available or how the goods will be received.
Create an Equipment Inventory
List computers, monitors and accessories, with packed dimensions, weights and counts. Label packages against the inventory so the recipient can check the handover.
Follow your organisation’s data-security process. Do not put passwords or unnecessary sensitive information on transport paperwork.
Confirm Access and Availability
Obtain the full address, postcode, telephone number and receiving window. Ask about stairs, lifts, parking, narrow entrances and the handover point.
Front-door delivery differs from carrying goods to a room. Assembly, installation and unpacking must be discussed separately before booking.
Prepare Equipment and Returns
Use suitable protective packaging and follow manufacturer guidance. Protect screens and corners, secure accessories and declare batteries or unusual equipment. Read our electronics preparation guide.
For returns, confirm that goods are packed and ready and an authorised person can release them. Provide the receiving department and hours at the office or warehouse.
Agree Timing and Handover Evidence
Discuss dedicated transport for urgent movements or economy delivery where dates are flexible. Agree the delivery window and any named-recipient or paperwork requirement.
Request a quote with postcodes, packed measurements, weights and access details. Disclose the goods and their value so applicable cover can be confirmed.
