Birmingham Exhibition Courier: A Venue Slot Is Separate from the Transport Booking

The NEC’s exhibitor guidance describes booking delivery slots for rear-of-hall stand deliveries. Check the current instructions for your event rather than relying on a previous show. Booking BHA to transport a load does not itself reserve a venue slot, authorise access or arrange stand services.

Gather the exhibitor delivery brief

Provide the event name, hall, stand reference, delivery entrance and onsite contact. Ask the organiser who books the arrival slot and what vehicle details are needed. Share confirmed instructions with BHA and allow time for any required coordination before dispatch.

Prepare a list of cases, panels, literature and equipment. Include packed dimensions and weights, and identify non-stackable or fragile items. Agree who will load and unload and whether the handover ends at a designated area or another expressly agreed point.

Coordinate setup and collection readiness

Give the time the stand team actually needs the goods, allowing for unpacking and assembly. Have the load packed and released before the planned collection. If production or preparation is late, update BHA and the organiser rather than assuming an existing slot can be used at any time.

For the return journey, check breakdown rules and confirm when the repacked load will be available. Keep reusable packaging and recount the cases after the event. Name a person who will remain until collection. Transport does not automatically include stand construction, dismantling, venue handling charges or disposal, so settle those responsibilities with the appropriate provider in advance.

Arrange your collection

Read about BHA courier coverage for Birmingham, then send a delivery enquiry with both postcodes, the ready time, required arrival time, packed dimensions and weight. Include the handling and access details described above. Ask BHA to confirm acceptance, availability, price and the agreed handover arrangements before booking.
