Norwich Printed-Material Deliveries: Plan Around the Launch, Not the Print Run

For a launch, campaign or exhibition, printed materials have to reach the person who will use them, not simply the building before it closes. A Norwich print collection should therefore be planned backwards from the setup deadline. This guide covers transport preparation; print quality approval and production scheduling remain with the customer and printer.

Confirm that finishing is complete

Ask the printer when the order will be packed and released, not just when printing is expected to finish. Cutting, binding, mounting and quality checks can affect readiness. Confirm whether the full order will be collected together or whether an agreed partial quantity is enough for the launch.

Provide the number and weight of cartons. Large quantities of paper can be heavy even in small boxes. For boards and signage, give the longest packed dimension and explain whether the pieces must lie flat or remain upright. Protect corners and faces using packaging suited to the material; do not rely on loose sheets or an unprotected roll.

Identify the real delivery deadline

State the time the materials must be available to the setup team and the site’s final receiving time. These may be different. Include the event or campaign reference, named recipient and correct entrance. If materials go to several locations, label each allocation and explain the required stop order.

Before dispatch, agree who can authorise a change if the print run is late. A courier collection cannot recover production time that has already been lost without a revised, feasible transport plan. Request confirmation of availability and the expected handover arrangements before committing the receiving team to a time.
