Swansea Hospitality Appliance Deliveries: Check Doorways Before Dispatch

A replacement appliance can fit in the delivery vehicle but fail to pass through the destination’s doorway. For a Swansea hotel, restaurant or other hospitality premises, check the full route to the agreed handover point before booking transport. Include the packaging in every measurement.

Measure the receiving route

Confirm entrance widths, changes of level, tight turns and any lift restrictions. Identify where the vehicle can stop and how far the appliance must be moved. If there is a loading entrance separate from the customer entrance, provide its address and arrival instructions.

Give BHA the packed height, width, depth and weight and say whether the appliance must remain upright. If packaging will need removing to pass a doorway, discuss that with the supplier and handling team beforehand; do not assume it is appropriate or included in the courier service.

Agree people and equipment for unloading

Confirm what unloading assistance the premises will provide and what BHA is being asked to arrange. A busy service period may leave staff unable to help. Additional crew, a tail lift or other handling equipment requires confirmation before dispatch.

Check that the receiving area is clear and safe for the planned handover. If contractors are working on the installation space, arrange an alternative agreed receiving point rather than expecting the driver to improvise around them.

Keep installation and removal explicit

Transport does not automatically include disconnecting the failed appliance, plumbing, electrical work, unpacking or commissioning. Arrange qualified installation support separately where needed. If an old unit is also to be moved, describe its condition and whether it is a return or waste before asking BHA to assess acceptance.

Confirm the supplier has released the replacement and provide its collection reference. Tell BHA the required delivery window and whether the business can receive outside its public opening hours. Do not promise an arrival time to the kitchen or property team until the transport plan is confirmed.

Send a complete Swansea delivery enquiry

Use Swansea courier coverage within Wales and hospitality delivery information. Send the appliance specification, postcodes and access brief. BHA will confirm suitability and availability. This is general delivery-planning guidance, not a claim of appliance installation capability or a specific Swansea hospitality contract. Reviewed 16 October 2026.
