“Slough Trading Estate” describes a business area, not a single collection point. A successful courier booking needs the individual business, unit and goods-out instructions. Before requesting transport, check that the supplier has released the correct load and that the driver will be sent to the right entrance.
SEGRO publishes information about Slough Trading Estate, while the borough council describes the estate in its planning guidance. Neither replaces the collection instructions of an individual occupier. Ask the supplier for the full address, unit number, postcode and goods-out entrance, particularly where customer reception and vehicle access are separate.
Provide a direct contact and opening hours for the department releasing the load. Ask whether the courier needs a booking reference, vehicle details or identification before arrival. If the supplier is operating under a different trading name from the one on the purchase order, explain that in the booking.
Check that the supplier recognises the purchase-order or collection reference you provide. Confirm the number of packages and whether the full order is ready. A payment receipt does not necessarily mean the warehouse has processed release, picked the goods or moved them to goods-out.
If a customer has bought the items through a distributor, confirm which organisation holds them and who can authorise collection. The driver should not be left to reconcile a commercial dispute or chase a missing release instruction from the gate.
Send dimensions and weight, including pallets or crates. Confirm whether loading is from the rear or side and whether the supplier provides suitable equipment and staff. State any vehicle restrictions. A vehicle that can carry the weight may still be unsuitable for the loading method or the packed dimensions.
Give the destination’s unloading arrangements and receiving hours at the same time. If the final customer does not have warehouse equipment, discuss an appropriate unloading plan before booking. The collection site’s facilities do not establish what will be possible at delivery.
See BHA’s South East coverage, including Slough and pallet transport information. Send both postcodes, the release reference and load details for an availability assessment.
See SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate information. Confirm delivery instructions with the individual business. BHA is not described here as the estate’s appointed courier. Source checked 16 October 2026.
