We receive information from you, from the customer or sender arranging a delivery, and from drivers or delivery partners carrying out the job. If you supply someone else’s details, provide only what is needed and make this notice available to them. Please do not put passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information in our enquiry forms.
Required form fields enable us to respond to your request. Without suitable contact or delivery details, we may be unable to provide a quote or carry out the requested service.
Relevant information is available to our authorised staff and, where needed for your delivery, our assigned drivers and subcontracted courier partners. We also use website hosting, IT, email and business-service providers. Website form submissions are stored in WordPress and notifications are delivered to our bookings mailbox, bha.booking@gmail.com, using Google Gmail. Cloudinary is used to deliver website images. Google services are described in the cookies section below.
We may disclose relevant records to professional advisers, insurers, authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to handle a claim. Only information relevant to the purpose should be shared.
Retention depends on the purpose and the record. Enquiry correspondence is kept for dealing with the request and any related follow-up or dispute. Booking, delivery and financial records are kept for service administration, applicable accounting requirements and the period needed to handle claims. Security and technical records are kept according to their security purpose and the relevant service settings. Information should be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, unless a legal obligation or active dispute requires it to be retained. Contact us for the retention arrangements applying to a particular record.
Cloud-service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this involves a restricted international transfer, UK data-protection law requires an applicable adequacy decision, appropriate contractual safeguards or another permitted transfer basis. You can ask us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your information, correct inaccuracies, erase information, restrict its use or receive certain information in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exemptions.
Contact info@bhacourier.co.uk to make a request or raise a concern. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or telephone 0303 123 1113.
